To become skilled and fast at recording and post processing audio, you have to train your ears. You need to be able to hear problems or identify what might be holding your mix back from being its best. Here's an ear training exercise you can use to fine tune your hearing so that you can make EQ, compression, and other mixing or mic placement decisions with confidence.
Train your ears to identify frequency boosts and cuts. We'll play some noise with an EQ adjustment and you pick the correct frequency that has been boosted or cut. Hint: Toggle the EQ on and off to hear the difference and help identify the frequency.
